Abstract: With the incidence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) on the rise, social language disorders have become more prevalent. Some of the challenges that speech-language pathologists face are accurately evaluating children with social language deficits and addressing their deficits effectively in therapy. This webinar will provide evidence-based techniques for addressing pragmatic language skills as well as an overview of assessments for social language disorders.

Osisek is the owner and director of Atlantic Speech Therapy in Virginia Beach, VA, where she treats children with communication disorders, including ASD. In addition to working in her private practice, she consults with schools and conducts professional training seminars on social language deficits in children.
